I
sought for a long time the terrible and sublime Salvator Rosa
in places, books and museums, and if one day I found his house,
it is because it reminded me of the house of the poet in "Nostalgia"
by the Russian film director Tarkovsky. The palm tree symbolizes
his faith, the mountain his Olympus, the source and the fire his
trials and the hole in the ground between a stump and Cerberus,
his end. |
