I have always dreamed that at the end of a recording of Wagner, it does not stop but continues and plays music by Wagner that one has never heard. I imagine the exaltation to be able to reveal to incredulous Wagnerians that there is still some of Wagner's music that one does not know.  Bliss! 
All things considered, it is the same for painting.  I try to paint the images that the artists whom I love, or who I would have liked to be, did not have time to paint. I am only the utopian prolongation of the art of paint.
